Messages are not syncing on my fresh transfer to Monterey on my new MBP.

I'm on the latest for iOS and Monterey. Just got this MBP tonight and setup from scratch has largely gone well. However, when trying to forward messages to my Mac, it isn't fully syncing. I have iCloud messages turned on on the phone. Plugged it in to upload/download as necessary. However, on the Mac, I only have messages from July 2020. Not sure what is going on with messages since then, but they aren't downloading. In the preferences for Mac, I don't have any buttons for syncing with iCloud. It only shows I'm logged in. Anyone able to help identify what I can do to force an iCloud sync or otherwise get this fully lined up with my phone messages?

I ended up just copying everything in my old laptops user/library/messages folder, pasting it in the new laptop, restarting, and then logging in again. everything was there. Pretty dumb work around. Not sure how the old messages will "sync" with iCloud in the future. But it's there if you need it.

Same issue here. While Monterey seems stable there's also a lot of bugs.
- Memory leaks
- Safari 120Hz missing
- HDR Youtube crashing
- Notch bar menu bugs
- Messages no syncing correctly

Hoping a lot of this gets cleared up with 12.1.
