No, its the same as ios 6, mind you a different shade of green but still the same... Its for text messages, blue is for imessages... cannot be changed

Do what I did and covered my Iphone screen with a red coloured acetate sheet! Choose from a variety of colours.

Yes! You can fix this!!! Enable iMessage, disable SMS, and only message other iPhone users with iMessage enabled... Good luck

Yes it can be customised. Open the app then in the toolbar Messages > preferences > messages tab. You'll be able to change the bubble colours, fonts, and font colours
