The text background color of outgoing messages is green. Can this be changed? IMHO, the green is horrible...

No, its the same as ios 6, mind you a different shade of green but still the same... Its for text messages, blue is for imessages... cannot be changed

Do what I did and covered my Iphone screen with a red coloured acetate sheet! Choose from a variety of colours.

Yes! You can fix this!!! Enable iMessage, disable SMS, and only message other iPhone users with iMessage enabled... Good luck 🙂

Yes it can be customised. Open the app then in the toolbar Messages > preferences > messages tab. You'll be able to change the bubble colours, fonts, and font colours 🙂
