When I delete a message on my iPhone this is not reflected on my Apple watch, is there a way to get these to Sync?

I don't think so, I think it is just like that of using iMessage on an iPhone, Mac and/or iPad...the message threads have to be individually deleted from each device since they are tied to your Apple ID. Hope this helps.

And you would think being tied to your Apple ID would be the very reason they should be deleted across all devices signed in to that Apple ID.

Maybe, but on the flip side, I'd hate to accidentally delete a thread of messages on my watch and I'll never be able to retrieve them from anywhere else.

It's another set of tradeoffs. iMessages and texts aren't very data-heavy anyway.

You could also set them to auto-delete from your phone after a span of time. I've set mine for 30 days. If I haven't quickly saved the information that someone sent to me, it probably wasn't very important anyway.

Good point. But I personally would rather them be deleted across all devices. Maybe we need a trash for messages like mail and photos.

I don't mind the message staying on watch I just wish there was a way to trash more than just one at a time. When I forget to clean them out and a few days later I remember man it takes forever at just one at a time. Please give us an edit like on iPhone.

Wow, I didn't realized that before reading this thread. Tried to remove messages and after 2-3 I was angry. Every message should be confirmed? It is crazy.
There should be possibility to set automatic removing after some time and maybe even possibility to sync from phone to Watch (not the other way) or remove from phone app...
