Is there any app that links your phone number with the messaging number that is given to you? I would like one app that reads all incoming messages including my regular cell text messages. I have text free which is good but it's another phone number to have.

I was wondering the same thing... that would be so cool to just be chilling with my iPad and able to text message from it, not have to worry about having my dinky blackberry next to me all the time when I'm surfing. I guess when iMessage comes out that will alleviate the problem somewhat, but still...

You could get a Google Voice number, then text from your iPad, even make VoIP calls.

I know of a few people with google voice but I haven't tried it yet. That could be a possibility of an all in one center for communication. Still hoping for something to link my cell number too. Thanks for the input!

I use my GV number to make calls and SMS via Talkatone. It works pretty well, even over BT through my blackberry.

Google Voice For United States Only

Piffle,

What a shame. Went to create a Google Voice account, only to be told that currently it is only available in the United States.
