messaging icon blank... usually can fix it but not this time

so the icon went blank and now it wont go back. Usually a respring or uninstalling the app that caused it works but not this time? any tips

Blank, as in clear, or a white icon? Usually clearing the cache clears the white icons. If it is clear, do you have a tweak that hides icons, or did you load a theme that hides certain icons?
