Messenger For Mac 7 "Sound effect problem"

There seems to be a Glitch with the latest Messenger.

Whenever an "audible" alert is triggered be it someone sign into messenger an email received or even someone contacting me.

The tone (sound effect) seems to not fully play. Eg Everyone knows the sound effect of someone signing in. "Dinggggg then fade out" However on my new Mac its "DIN" missing the rest of the effect. Do I still have you? or have I lost you LOL.

So my question. Is there a fix for this? is it a known problem?

Thanks, I would but I need the alert of if an email has been received. I have not fully transferred my hotmail emails to .me yet.
