I'm not quite sure why, but my mac seems to have problems with messenger for mac.
This started a few months ago, where my conversation with the other party would automatically get disconnected after about 5 minutes of my inactivity in that particular conversation.
If I try to type a message after that 5 minutes, the message doesn't get sent to the person, and there isn't a "the following could not be sent" message either, like it usually does.
It's quite frustrating because the other party wouldn't have seen my message and I have to re-open a new conversation every time.
So I tried Adium, and this message showed up: "message could not be sent because a connection error occurred", also when I had 5 minutes of inactivity.
I don't think it's the problem with the application itself because my other friends (who are using macbooks too) don't seem to have a problem with this, so I was wondering if this problem could be linked to my macbook or my internet connection? What could it be, though and how do I fix it?
