messenger mac crashing

my messenger 6.0.2 is always crashing my mac is up to date 10.4.9 what is causing this, for some reason ever since i installed safari beta, would that be why? how can i fix this problem?

It's the Safari BETA. Either get rid of that, or get rid of Mac Messenger.

You could try using adium instead of messenger for Mac.
