Messenger not showing contact display pictures...

Messenger:Mac 8 isn't available in beta, so I'd first try to use the actual released Messenger:Mac instead of something from questionable sources online. :) The latest version is 7.0.2, and you can download it from Mactopia. Download that and see if it you can see your contact pictures.

I am also having the same problem with MSN for MAC 7 - contacts display pictures are not showing.

It's weird because I also use my Windows live messenger and have set a different display picture on that. Whenever I sign in using my mac, my mac display picture shows, and whenever I sign in on my windows pc it shows the different one. I would have expected it to overwrite the display picture with whichever one I had set last.

Please post if anyone resolves this issue. Thanks!
 
not working for me

I'm currently using MSN messenger 7.0.2 for mac. Although i got my hands on the beta 8, i don't want to use it until microsoft decides to release it.

Is there any answer as to why friends pictures will not show?

I have msn messenger or windows 7 on my parallels because i use video chat with my family from south america. Once Microsoft released video chat with msn messenger for mac I think that will be the only thing that i will need windows for. I'll still keep it installed just in case.

Can anyone answer? What is the cause, what is the resolution, and does anyone know around when in march with the beta be release for mac? (someone on this forum told me it would be march 2010. I think 4 months ago... i've been patiently waiting)
 
MSN messenger not working

I have problem with my MSN Messenger when i trying to sign in it keeps saying (sign in faild because the password is incorrect or the sign-in name dose not exit .if you have forgotten your password, choose Help Topics from the Help Menu) .. while i am using aMSN and Adium without any problem .. do any one have idea about this kind of problems ..
My MAC OS X version 10.6.2
 
try signing out of adium or anything that is signed in to your msn while you sign in to msn messenger... then go to hotmail.com and try to sign in to see if you know your username and password.

If you have done so, then make sure your CAPS is not on, then make sure you have the @hotmail.com part on.

If that doesn't work, don't know what to tell you... you can delete the .pls (or something like that) files, that should resolve your issue.

If that doesn't work, good luck getting Microsoft to help you without charging you.

i fixed this issue by logging out of msn for mac, and clicking on log onto new account. you should see your old account details in the box, and from there, press 'clear account history'

this fixed my problem for adding a new profile pic for myself, however i still cant see other peoples photos.
