Meta is Probably Training AI on Images Taken by Meta Ray-Bans

This should be illegal, with strong consequences (not just fines) brought to violators (like Meta, if they are actually doing what the article suggests they may be).
  • What if someone walks into a private space with the glasses on?
  • What if they (as others here have pointed out) go into a space like a public washroom, locker room, etc.?
  • What if they are with exposed minors? (such as a parent, bathing a child, who maybe forgot to take the glasses off)
  • What if they are engaged in “intimate acts”?
  • What if they visit somewhere with security issues?
  • What if they happen to see a confidential document?
  • etc., etc.…
There are countless situations where an always-on camera would capture images that should never be transmitted/copied.
