The IG and Threads connection is what I dislike the most about it

Why? The only things better than unsubscribing from one F*c*book tarpit are unsubscribing from ALL F*c*book tarpits, or never having done anything with F*c*book in the first place.

Many people in Taiwan still use Threads. They don't have the hate towards Meta, or they don't really know how evil Meta is.

This is so true. I don't get why the Taiwanese are so drawn towards it.

Threads.com was purchased by Shopify and shut down in 2024 (basically, Shopify acquihired the team.) Unclear if Shopify ended up with the domain name and sold it to Meta or that the founders kept the name after the purchase of the team and sold it themselves.

I still refused to use the Meta products.
