    Hi,

My friend had a metal detector application on his G1 that would display a meter and vibrate when the phone detected metal. It used the internal compass. Now that the iPhone 3Gs has an internal compass, would it be possible to make this app for the iPhone?

Yeah, the metal disturbs the compass and it spins.

Your posts are so useful. I thanked you for your one word reply in an earlier thread and I'm going to thank you again. Thanks for your input.

WHY! If its something that you need/want, you should be willing to pay for it! Stop being cheap!

Oh I WOULD pay for it, but I don't have a gift card, nor a credit card.

Sounds pretty cool. Not much use for it but would try it out. Wouldn't buy though
