Long story short, I ripped some DVDs to an external hard drive, and used Handbrake to encode the with the Apple TV presets (the resulting .m4v file also resides on the external drive).

Then I used MetaX to tag the .m4v files.

When I open Front Row, though, and navigate to the files - none of the information comes through (i.e. no album art, plot, cast, etc.) It looks like there is just some screen capture of the opening seconds.

Am I missing something?

Thanks...

I might have figured out my problem.

I had to 'option' drag the files from the external drive to my iTunes library.

Then they showed up (albeit in a different place) in Front Row with the correct tags.

Is this the best way to go about what I'm trying to do? I'm curious what my iTunes library will look like when my external isn't connected...

Cheers
