My mother just went and bought herself an iPhone 5C, and had it activated on MetroPCS. It works great so far, but she can't get Visual Voicemail to work; when you tap voicemail in the phone app, it calls voicemail the old fashioned way.
The phone seems to be operating on the T-Mobile network, and VV works fine on T-Mobile iPhones. MetroPCS doesn't want to provide support because they don't "officially" support the iPhone yet. Is there any activation procedure you can perform to "turn on" VV, or is it simply not supported on MetroPCS?
I told her she really should have just switched to a mainline T-Mobile plan, but she likes saving $10 a month to get the equivalent MetroPCS plan.
