As you've probably heard since WWDC this year, iOS devices have now gotten controller support and companies like Logitech are soon showing their own controllers. Good thing about these controllers is that, as far as I understood it, Mavericks also has support for them so you can use the same controllers with your Mac. But since it's not a regular USB gamepad API, I suppose developers will have to code support for them. Are Aspyr and Feral going to support these controllers on Macs?

That's nonsense. What else would I install Windows for?

...I wish there was an actual native working driver for my USB Xbox controller. No, Tattlebogie's driver didn't work.

The pads only have one set of shoulder buttons not two and the sticks don't support stick "click" this means most games designed for modern consoles will not work with these pads as you don't have enough controls.

We will have a look at supporting these pads for the more simple games that don't need many controls once we get a hold of some units to try out. However due to the limitations of the pads it's a slightly lower priority than some other support items.

We are introducing "lefty" support in our next batch of games so you can flip the sticks around for left handed users. :)

Why not? :( If you install the latest versions it should work just fine, I have not seen people who cannot get the drivers to work unless their OS X installation has some permissions issues. I have seen it happen but it is very rare based on our user base.

Are you using a wired Microsoft model not a third party device? The wireless pad needs a dongle and third party pads might need some editing of the drivers to be recognised.

It's funny that you mention Lefty support because I'm a lefty and I don't need specialized controller config setups nor do I even put my mouse on the left side of my keyboard. I prefer the standard setups for game and computer input... I know that's probably just me though and many other lefties prefer everything to be specialized... and would go to Flanders (from simpsons) Leftorium if it existed...

OS X has some drivers built in already for Bluetooth gamepads; the DualShock 3 is picked up and all the buttons work. I would imagine the new MFi controllers will tap into that driver as well.
