Mic out or line out query.

Recording from an old cassette player with aux RCA outputs and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett with balanced inputs.



Should I use the headphone jack out or the RCA aux out on the cassette deck.


And when I go IN to the focusrite, do I set the inputs to line or instrument.
