The story has been told.....
....Everyone knows it,

Nonsense. Just look at all the films that get released every week. Most of them are endless remakes of stories that every single person already knows about ( in the western world at least , and for centuries sometimes) and already know exactly how it ends.
And people still go see them. From Titanic to Cinderella to The Three Musketeers to Romeo&Juliet to SpiderMan ( and their endless remakes) to biopics about AmyWinehouse to Diana to Gatsby...etc...
The film experience ( and most art ) is about the road , not the destination . It's the " how you get there, and what does the road looks like " , not "will you get there or not ".

Also you're wrong thinking that everyone in the world knows exactly about Jobs story. It's mostly the geeks and the Mac afficionados that know it so well. Most non-geeks ( and PC users ) just vaguely know that Apple also makes computers ( "Oh, they make PCs too ? I thought they just made mp3 players and phones ..") and that some guy named Steve Jobs was the boss.
And really, who wants to see a film about Facebook ?

Oh give me a break. Just because it's Apple everyone eats this "unlike anything before" like its revolutionary. I'm sure Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorcese have directed in ways no one has and you don't hear them buttering it up like this.

"Most" movies aren't blockbusters and the ones that are aren't boring as ****, like a SJ movie will be. You can keep saying "nonsense" but all that shows is your distorted view of reality. You may worship SJ, but you're in the minority. When this movie comes out and does poorly, you'll see that reality for yourself. When you go watch it, don't worry about showing up early, or even late for that matter. There will be plenty of seats for you. You can count on that.

See , that's the issue , right there : I'm talking about a FILM, you're talking about Jobs. It has nothing to do with Steve Jobs : I don't worship Jobs. I also hate Facebook, and I think Zuckerberg is a nut job, and I found "The Social Network" a brilliant movie. Lots of people who don't give a crap about Zuckerberg or don"t even use Facebook also loved the movie.
You can make a film about a horrible charachter, say Hitler, and the film can still be brilliant and people can love it . This has ZERO to do with worshiping the main character of the film. Whether a movie is good or not HAS NOTHING TO DO with whether you like the character and worship him, or not. It has to do with scripts, actors, directing, lighting, music, sound editing, film editing, etc. And this film seems to has many of these elements in spades. Danny Boyle last film "Trance" is one of the best films of the decade IMO. Fassbender is one the most brilliant actors alive. Sorkin's scripts are often clever. Even if this film was about a dumb ass serial killer, it's very likely that it would be an interesting movie with such a combination of talents.

You can make a film masterpiece about ANY subject or character, even the most mundane, ordinary , non-glorious subjects or individuals.

A Steve Jobs movie has nothing to do with Steve Jobs? Really? You think people are going to go buy tickets to a SJ biopic to marvel at cinematography? Jesus... Talk about being completely delusional. Anyway, enjoy the movie.

That's certainly an opinion. Many people have their own which are different. That's petty much all there's to it.
