Microsim card design

Hi am having to cut down my T Mobile SIM and wanted to check that the microsim used in the IPAD and IPHONE are designed the same ? At the moment I only have an o2 microsim for an IPAD, can I use the design as a template for cutting down my SIM for my iphone 4??
