A lot of people confuse MS-Access with products that only store data.
You don't have to store your data in Access. Just use it to connect to your Oracle or SQL Server database. Use Access for it's rapid prototyping of a application or perhaps as a Ad Hoc tool for quick reports or forms that you throw away after you are done. In a corporate environment, don't store your data in MS-Access.
