It's not if it's true or not, is that it's unacurate, with bad info, 'cause the ad talks about an expensive Mac, and she even says it doesn't comes with everything she needs... BUT she doesn't says what is that...
which is what makes the ads rather stupid. but it is not what Apple was concerned about.
it was the shot showing two prices cards for 15" laptops at $1999 and $2499. it wasn't a quick shot. it was very on purpose, in focus and readable.
but after the price changes, that pair of prices is invalid because now the retail models of the 15" inch laptop are $1699, $1999 and $2299. this bad fact would give Apple the right to a false advertising complain. but perhaps being gentlemenly they called and pointed out the error to give Microsoft a chance to have it fixed. which they did, but not before Kevin acted like a total tool.
