With the latest Edge update, it seems as though an admin name/password is required to access saved passwords in Edge. Once you put in the admin password it seems to work until you quit Edge. Then you need the admin password again.

Users are logged into Edge with their Microsoft365 accounts.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Isn't it using Keychain? Therefore needs your Mac user credentials to open the keychain - not necessarily an 'admin' password.

Were you using a Custom Primary Password before (your own "master" password)? Microsoft phased that out and switched those users to use device-based authentication instead (your Mac user password or Touch ID). If you weren't using this before, then your settings must have gotten changed accidentally.

In either case, you can go into your settings within Edge and change it to not require the device sign-in.
