Saw this picture, don't know if its legit but its still funny.
Nope, first time it's been seen here
looks like photoshop is the culprit
Agreed. The shadowing on the lid is eerily straight given the angle at which this picture is taken compared to the light source.
Photoshopped or not, I've been to many MS presentations where they use Macs
I can't say if it is fake or not, I can only say it has made the rounds here several times
This is old news. The pic is real.
But do they use Mac OS?
Windows. I believe that it's through Boot Camp because I've never seen them accidentally bring up the Dock or Mac menu bar.
Probably the only way to get through an all day conference on battery. Try that with a windows laptop!
I think the Apple laptop with the longest battery life is something like 8 hours, right? There are numerous longlife laptops out there, and since they're all from various other manufacturers, they run Windows. Most netbooks run for at least 6 hours, many more and other ultraportables run for 10 hours or longer.
The operating system has much less to do with battery life than the power consumption and battery technology in the laptop. A MacBook Pro running Windows 7 will probably still get about 7-8 hours of battery life.
I dont think it shopped. I dont think its a big deal either. Microsoft doesnt make laptops. Apple laptops run Windows.
Pretty sure both the MBP (13in) and MB have a 10 hour battery life. And I have actually achieved this myself at home on mine.
I have 2 Windows laptops that struggle to make it through a 3 hour class. Even with an extended battery then I have a huge bulging battery on the bottom propping it up like rounded kickstand, so I guess I know what I'm talking about here.
This silly fanboy just got this MBP to BootCamp Windows7 and have the best of both worlds and now I can run on either platform!
Hey, isn't this a Mac forum anyway fella?
If they were going to demo Microsoft Office for Mac it would make sense to use a Mac
It's fake, look at the bottom hinge on the lid, it's like on an old Dell machine, not as on a MBP.
OMg! I love stickers!
I'd rather say epic thread fail!
That picture is over 2 years old, was all over the press, and not the first time Microsoft used Apple laptops in their presentations. There are images from a 2006 presentation around, too. So no, no fake.
Microsoft is a Software Company, Microsoft makes Software for Apple Type Computers aka Macs.
Microsoft OS can be installed on pretty much any type of computer hardware including Apple Intel
So it sounds like Epic Win to me
When's the last time Microsoft did something that wasn't a fail? Don't be so shocked by Microsoft's failures.
seen this pic mulitple times either way you can't hate a Mac
+1. The base looks like it protrudes past the hinge for screen.
Also - Im not sure the difference in colour is a shadow - I think its part of the design.. Dell or similar with sticker, i say.
