What version of Excel do you have on your Mac? To what format are you saving the file (.xls or xlsx?). What version of Excel is the other person using?

In general, there should be no problem sharing MS Office documents between Mac and Windows, unless one person is running a newer version and saving in a newer or different file format. For example, if you are saving the file as .xlsx, try saving as .xls instead, and resend the spreadsheet to the other person.

I use Excel on both Mac & PC and transfer files back and forth all the time with no problems.
