Microsoft Keyboard confused by keyboard settings

I've connect a Microsoft keyboard to my Mac and swapped the control and commany keys in system preferences.

The weird thing is Microsoft's keyboard can't understand the swap. When I press the control key, sometimes it thinks I am pressing command and sometimes it thinks I am pressing control


Any ideas?

I think it would be best if you avoided using MS products with Apple computers.

Yeah i aggree - the IBM standard keyboard seem to cause problems and do unexpected things, especially if your using a Microsoft UK format keyboard - when i used mine on my MacMini sometimes pressing return would activate the command key!
