What a nice holiday gift from Microsoft. You see, Microsoft's actions with their Win10 "upgrade" drove me here to the Apple camp last year. Only to discover that Apple has its own less than ideal situations. So much so that I'd started to wonder if I'd chosen wisely.

Now Microsoft shows yet again that while Apple has it's problems, they have yet to go completely bonkers like Microsoft has. (Hey, Redmond, the only reason your Solitaire was popular was because it was free and already installed on Windows.) So thanks, Microsoft, for yet again validating my decision to never again give you a dime. Ya crazy nutters.

There's a lot of disgusting things going on in the world right now, but Microsoft trying to charge people $24 a year to play some silly solitaire games must be right up there with the worst. I am appalled.

I've got the ad version on my desktop PC and Ad blocker works great in blocking the ads. Usually you have to watch a 30 sec advert for other MS games after a few games.

Glad to see this for iOS as I enjoy these versions and the Daily Challenges. Really no need to buy premium version.

Spending $2 on this game would be more than what I have spent on all Microsoft software the last 25 years.

How is nobody talking about the biggest let down: there's no cascading cards when you win a round!

Solitaire for iOS. Really? And people still fault me for saying Microsoft is a dying company and Windows 10 wouldn't be for free, if the company wasn't fighting for survival.

Still to this day don't quite understand how to play Solitaire--not that I put in a ton of effort. With that said, this is definitely "the game" for folks over the age of 50 who used to be addicted to playing it on Windows 3.1 & Windows 95 PCs back in the 90s (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz). I'll stick to my Wolfenstein, King's Quest and Star Wars X-Wing, thank you.

FYI; Microsoft Solitaire Collection Premium Edition (with no adverts) on Windows 10 is £7.69 per year (or £1.49 per month)

Well, I was wondering how this game was 144MB, and then I was like "oh..." no wonder this is basically the same size as the first OS this game collection shipped with!

More like 7x the size. :D my first x86 PC had Windows 3.1 , and on that 81MB HDD, i had Windows (which was around 25MB on disk., Word Perfect Works, Sim City 2000, Sim Tower and still some free space. So 144MB just for the game is madness.
