Never knew about the Apple Watch trade in program. More importantly, I never even knew this gadget from MS existed.

How can the Apple Watch offer sleep tracking when the battery can't last 24 hours? This is one of the main reasons I'm sticking to my trusty Pebble for now.

I charge mine an hour before I go to bed to get it to 100%. Never had an issue. It uses about 5-10% over night. Top it off while I am in the shower back to 100% to start my day.

You win some, you loose them......

...and looks like Microsoft just lost theirs. :) Back to the drawing board. Never really liked that design..

Too simple

That's nice looking, I wonder how that works in comparison to the apple watch

Garmin has always had some little issues, to me... I had a fenix 3, and the Bluetooth features were kinda sketchy, then turned them off, but the device itself was very solid.

I've decided on the HR+ just for the GPS capability. Makes more sense I'm thinking. I can report back on impressions. I don't know if anyone else has, or if it would be 'off topic'.

I'm wondering how much better, if at all, the Garmin LED HR technology compares to the Apple Watch's tech. Garmin has three lights and Apple has only two. Guess I'll find out...

The buttons at the edge of the device is a bad idea. I wear my Apple Watch 'backwards' because of gloves I wear exercising and biking hitting the buttons and crown.

From another website, my experience comparing HR monitors.

People have wondered what to use for a heart rate monitor/activity tracker, so I decided to see. I have the Apple Watch, series one, and bought a Garmin vivoSmart HR+, and obviously the Peloton HR system.

So yesterday, they were both within 1 or 2 beats of each other. Really. The Apple Watch takes a couple of seconds to get a reading, but after the wait, the numbers were the same. It did that all through the ride (Steven T. Little Friday endurance ride), and it was good.

So today's ride, Everything starts out womped. The Garmin is showing faster, then slower, then really slow. The two showed 119, and the Garmin showed 79, and then 70. Interesting.

After the ride, while I was cooling down, I checked the Garmin. It was at 150. Then 160, then 170, then 180. Trying not to panic, I checked my heart rate manually, and it was within what the other two said. Finally the Garmin came down but it was still higher than the other two. Even now the Garmin is 4 to 6 beats above the Apple Watch. I don't know what happened between yesterday and today, but the Garmin isn't very accurate, so far. I'm disappointed.

I had the Garmin, and the Apple Watch in the same position on the same wrist. Odd that it was so much worse today. But that has been my experience, so far. I'll give it a few more days to see how it goes, but the Apple Watch, which I've ripped before, isn't that far off. Just slow to catch up...

The only Band I ever saw was in Best Buy. I've never seen anyone wearing one.

Functionally it seemed fine, but aesthetics was a big problem. Particularly the huge, clunky HR monitor on the back that faced outward so everyone could see it! Seriously, what on earth were they thinking?

That's a UV detector, the HR detector is on the back of the actual watch. Obviously the UV detector needed to face outwards. However, being on the clash it does make that bit bulky, which Microsoft suggest wearing the watch with the screen on the inside of your wrist otherwise that bulky clash cuts off the blood supply to your hand when resting your wrist on the desk to type!

I purchased one, and for what I've wanted it's been just fine and at half the price of the Apple Watch back then. Now people think it's a fit-bit as their newer models look very similar!
