Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac

Is Office 08 for mac on par with Office 07 for pc as far as formatting goes? You know sending one document from one version to the other without loosing the format (useful for resumes, reports and all)?

Not always, but fairly consistent
If you want to send a resume, etc. with assurance of consistency... use .pdf

The bigger issues are with Excel

.... office '08 will always be better than iWork '08/'09.

maybe in a couple years iWork will be more popular, but for now Office 08 is pretty good. obviously it could be upgraded and run a little faster, but it's ok - at least it's not under Rosetta
