They already do for iPhone. It's also free for a limited time of you want to download it.

I already use Microsoft Office on my iPad thanks to the Splashtop app. Virtual computing / display sharing made a breeze with that app.

you might want to try evernote. it is completely different, and certainly not as feature-rich, but ultimately a better notetaking solution, in my opinion.
