I'm looking to upgrade the microsoft office in our home/business. There are the home/student packages out there that give you up to 3 licenses/users for a good price, but all the home/business ones are limited to 2 users and are much more expensive They seem to be almost identical software. We have 4 computers in our home business. Can I just get the home/student one? Am I missing something?? Thanks for any input.

You cannot use the Home/Student version for any sort of business use (assuming you want to stay within the license conditions which I assume you do).

From the EULA (you can download it from here):

12. HOME AND STUDENT SOFTWARE. For software marked “Home and Student” edition, you may install one copy of the software on up to three licensed devices in your household for use by people for whom that is their primary residence. The software may not be used for commercial, non- profit, or revenue-generating activities.
