Microsoft Office Versions

hello
today i got a new intel imac off of craigslist. on it is microsoft office X. I didnt have office on my old G4 so im not really familiar with it. How old is this version? and is it upgradable?

It's pretty old. Office 10 was between Office 9 (2001) and Office 11 (2004.)

It would be upgradable, if you had a legit copy, but you only have someone else's that they left on the Mac when they sold it to you.
