All jokes aside, is this the next big move by MS?!? Sorry, can't see it being that important to be sitting down on the toilet and surfing the net. About as bad as having a phone in the bathroom at home.:rolleyes:

The iLoo being developed by the MSN division of Microsoft Corp. in Britain is a standard portable toilet - a loo to the English - with a wireless keyboard and extending, height-adjustable plasma screen in front of the seat.

There would also be a "Hotmail station" with waterproof keyboard and plasma screen on the outside for those waiting in line.

MSN officials say they're negotiating for the manufacture of toilet paper imprinted with Web addresses that users may not have tried.
 
what's wrong with talking on the phone whilst in the bathroom? no better time really

i think the greatest thing about this plan is the possibility of URL's on the toilet paper.... i'm not sure if i'd be happy or insulted to have my webpage on there....

imagine when eye comes in there... no thanks!

ah, wiping your ass with www.amazon.com, or even www.msn.com....yeah, like I said, this is huge fodder for jokes. Very good poop thread material....

I wonder if they'll have a touch screen button for flushing?

But as for being on the phone while on the toilet...well, I'd not want to have to deal with the 'noises'.....

i've noticed that since i stopped eating meat i haven't had such problems. about 8 years ago (whilst i did eat meat), my bros' girlfriend (a vegetarian) pointed out that people who eat meat smell bad (including their poop)... i don't necessarily agree. i just know i haven't had much intestinal issues since. except when i don't eat enough (protein)

i think the access in the stall is dumb. though i could see in line.... however, most men don't have to wait in line at a bathroom ever.... so i guess that's really only geared towards the ladies and they huge lines

I read about this a couple of weeks ago, and find it rather amusing. Microsoft have said that they'll have to post a security guard outside the portaloo, just to make sure no-one nicks anything! I think the main problem would be the queues outside. You'll be waiting hours whilst someone browses a load of porn and jacks off.......:rolleyes: :eek:
The specs sounded rather nice though. A 15" plasma screen inside, and another outside, both with keyboard and built-in touchpad.

If there's one at any of the concerts I go to this summer I'll take a couple of pics for you. Not so sure I'll be using it though......

My buddy and I had a similar idea, we called it the Shinternet! :)

So now iSurf while iCrap then iWipe, iFlush, iWash, iSmile, then iLeave :D
 
To me santation would be the big problem! They would need to set it up so that the unit could be steam cleaned after each use. Otherwise all the crevices would be a great breeding ground for bacteria! :eek:

Also, another idiotic idea and lame M$ attempt to try and make money for a failing company hemorrhaging cash.
 
This is gross. I don't like using portapotties in the first place. And I definitely don't want to be sitting in one for a 1/2 hour surfing the web.
BTW, if I spend 50-75 bucks on concert tickets, why would I want to go sit in a toilet??? Oh, that's right. So I can watch the concert on "streaming" video. :rolleyes:
I think MS is all wet on this one.
BTW, we can "log" this as my 198th post. :D

Edit:Yeah, I know. The log pun really stunk.
 
Even in my utmost desparation could I envision spending any more time in a portable stall than I can hold my breath. That probably holding true for MOST people, I anticipate that this "service" would hold up the line very little as you'd be done taking a leak by the time ctrl-alt-del would take to restart the computer. Makes me kind of wonder what M$ had in mind by introducing the iMac ripoff "Athens" and the pooper 'puter in the same day. . .
 
Can an idea be any freakin dumber? This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard! My God Microsoft, pull yerself tagether!
