    Hi all

Apologies for the two questions in one but thought it'd save me from creating a new thread.

I'm a university student and my lecturers upload Microsoft Powerpoint files onto on a virtual learning environment called 'Blackboard'. I think many UK universities use this.

My question is, would the MS Powerpoint files be compatible with Keynote (once downloaded)?

Also, will be BBC iplayer work on iPad in the same way that it does on iPhone/iPod Touch?

    Many thanks

Yes the powerpoint slides will be fine in keynote, and iplayer will work in just the same way it does on the iphone.

Should be able to view the hd videos on iplayer too I would expect :D

I sometimes have problems with Powerpoint files when opening them on Keynote. Does get frustrating, hence at my University they now upload pdf's also for the times when us mac users cannot get it to work.

Thanks pal, sounds good so far! I was looking for something that was a bit easier to lug around than my laptop but if i'm being honest, I could carry on perfectly well without one but I just love the look of it and the convenience of browsing the web easily without switching on my laptop and watching TV programmes on a decent size screen compared to iPhone.

I don't know if my "wow, i want one" phase will die off by the time it actually comes for release though!!

    Cheers again

Mmmm...I couldn't do with all that faffing around and most of my lecturers find it difficult enough to operate a slide show that I doubt they'll even know how to convert to PDF! Seriously, one lecturer right clicks then clicks on 'next slide' rather than just left clicking on clicking on the arrow on her keyboard!

I think i'll wait a couple of weeks from release and see what the reviews are like - plus i can go to the apple store for a play around.

    Thanks

It does not happen very often but when it does it is really annoying!
