update will kill key

apparently (not speaking from experience here of course) if you have a hack of Office this latest code will require you to re-enter your license key, and if you enter the one that is a hack, it won't work.

Thanks for the heads up. What kind of price you think I could get Microsoft Office 2011 at?

The MSRP has already been announced. The cheapest version (home and student license, 1 install) is $119, the most expensive version (business license, which includes Outlook, and allows for 2 installs) is $279. I'd be willing to guess that retailers will offer some discounts, although I wouldn't hazard a guess as to what they might be. :) That's all up to the retailer.

Nadyne.

Soon be adding office 11 to my collection....office 04, office 08, office 07, office 2010. I remember paying about $209 Australian dollars for 08 but about $170 dollars for 07 admittedly that had been out a bit longer but as I recall it was always available at a cheaper price and in the last 12 months it was purchasable at some places for a lot less yet it took some time for retailers to extend even small discounts to the Macintosh product.

I forgot to say ... those prices are US$. I honestly have no idea what the pricing is in other countries. I'm on the technical team, they don't let me anywhere near the money side of things. ;)

Nadyne.
