wow, WMP 10 looks soooo much like iTunes. . . except with a lot of extra crap in the way. its nice to see windows trying to imitate success of iTunes, but M$ must realize when they combine 10 things in one it gets hard to use. why is iTunes so good, b/c it does one thing, play music.

Well people say that stuff about it but they never really used both programs. I started using WMP10 back when it was a beta. I been digging around in it bit and it more like WMP9 than iTunes a lot more like WMP9. Most of the "new stuff" in there is just updating stuff from 9 that had some user interface problems and could be confusing to use.

It has some nice stuff in it. Still not going to use it for any more than I used WMP9 for. Mind you the libary funition in it (which has been around since 9) is where there is the largest impovent in setting it up and using it.

Trust me iTunes and WMP10 are 2 very diffent program and not much of a copy. Lastly Quicktime for windows is a piece of crap program. It good for view quick time stuff on the web (which is among the best format for it) but viewing it as a stand alone player on the computer well it is a piece of crap and I will never use it for that (there is a reason I have found a codex out there to play them though WMP. Same as I did for real which is even worse)

Ok, so maybe he doesn't know it as much as I think he does. Just that he did research it some and has written his own decoders before and is the kind of geek who would do a very thorough job of it for fun. But I was just assuming. Don't know exactly what he did.

WMP 9 for mac says it cannot play it. How do you look at the source? That sounds promissing.

And yes she is on a mac.
