Hi All,

Anyone having difficulty using Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.32. Recently, updated on OS X 10.11.5 on a 2013 rMBP. I am unable to connect to a Microsoft Home Server version 1 machine. Getting a connection reset by peer error message. I am able to connect to server and access the drives directly.

Interestingly enough, I am still able to connect to the Windows Home Server from an MBA also running OS X 10.11.5 but using Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.9.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what to try?

Cheers,

More research indicated that 8.0.32 is not compatible with Windows Home Server Version 1 and 2. There may be other versions of Windows that 8.0.32 is not compatible.

Solution was to go to Time Machine back-ups and restore version 8.0.31. After doing so, Microsoft Remote Desktop was able to connect to Windows Home Server version 1.0 machine.
