Which is the ONLY good thing anyone can say about them.
Curious that.
Well, price is an important factor after all.
I guess wider software selection would be another point in favor of Windows.

The funny thing is Microsoft did diversify and has been able in these recent years to systematically lower their dependence on their Windows product doing great in terms of sales.
And they've been doing a better job than Apple.
Have you heard of Azure? At one point in 2018 is was up almost 90% in comparison to the previous year.

Ahh, good point. Although, were these updates for WIN10 as significant as the macOS changes each year? I've been fooled into thinking they haven't been updating the OS like Apple does with different desktop images and overall themes, and new features (if you get what I mean).
Found the Fanboy ☝☝Not really if you think about it. All devices that run Windows 10 not counting PC's have either SIM cards or a WIFI connection ie: Xbox, Tablets, RF's, POS systems and other embedded or non embedded devices.. Now think about all the Window 10 PC's that are around 700+ million. I think MS is doing just fine. Also alot of people are using Skype, Messenger and other type VOIP devices to talk nowadays. So Mobile/Smart phones are not really needed anymore. Also all these windows 10 devices have a Windows 10 store and its improving all the time. Also MS is coming out with a folding and other devices with Windows 10. Innovation is what MS is doing with Windows 10. The future is getting brighter for Windows 10 devices all the time.
No it doesn't, that's what I proved.Good for them. Point still stands though
their desktop dominance isn’t helping them any in other areas
I know a lot of people/businesses still on WIN7 ... and when you think about it Apple have released, what? 9 new variants of mac os x since?
So why did it fail? And don’t claim marketing. If it was as great as you claim then why did developers leave it? You know, Commodore Amiga users used to claim it was vastly superior to the Apple II and Macintosh but couldn't come up with a reason for it’s failure except that people who bought Apple were stupid.
Amiga was a gaming system. Apple wasn't and had greater general appeal. At the time, an Amiga could emulate a Mac faster than a Mac could run. There may have been something to that claim about being better.

Then it should have buried Apple, right? But it’s long dead and no amount of “claims” will change that. There were many claims of superiority by numerous competitors but they are dead and buried along with the Amiga. People who only look at specs and processor speeds just don’t get it.
Again, the Amiga could run the MacOS and every single Mac application, and run them faster than an actual Mac at that time. It wasn’t subjective. Then it should have buried Apple, right? Maybe you like waiting on your computer because it gives you more time to run to the bathroom. Maybe you hate stereo sound because your dead in one ear. Maybe the additional colors didn’t matter to you because you are color blind. Maybe you were turned off because the lower price wasn’t “professional enough.” Maybe you didn’t like the NTSC output option than made for cheap and easy genlocks and helped usher in a lot of digital video.
In that case, the Mac of the day might have been a better computer for you.
If all of the above wasn’t true of you back in 1989, then you made a mistake. Don’t feel terrible. A lot of people did. Most of them bought Windows machines and set us on the course that landed us here.
Imagine if the IBM PC clones had been the first to lose. The 68xxx and PowerPC would’ve received all the development. Apple, Atari, and Amiga would have been a AAA threat. Linux wouldn’t have been a thing because Amigas could run Unix natively (probably the other two also, but I do not know). Registry errors would only happen at weddings. No one would give a damn about conventional, extended, or expanded RAM, and unicorns would have come out of hiding as we entered a golden age of world peace. Unfortunately, Microsoft sold their soul to the devil and it never happened.
It’s been a long time since I have encountered an Amiga fanatic. I didn't know they still existed, though.
