If you have Office for Mac you can install it under os x, if you have Office for Windows you have to install it under Boot Camp (or Parallels)

Sounds like you have a windows version- so you would have to install it in windows, under bootcamp. Unless, of course, you have Office for Mac, which doesn't sound like that is the case.

You have to have the Mac version just like anything else, which you can learn about here, or use one of the solutions that allows you to run Windows.
