OneNote on the MacBook is already on the market. Office in the iOS devices is on the horizon.

I just want to clarify. You mean OneNote is already on iOS. I have not heard of or found OneNote on OS X yet, which would be amazing.

This is all about the battle between Xbox and Playstation. Sony has an android phone that plays Playstation games. They also have an Android app to play Playstation games. In order for MS to compete they have to get on phones too. Obviously there are not enough windows phones out there, and if they want to beat Sony they've got to use iOS. These are crazy times!

This marks a trend for the future.

Within 3 years microsoft will realise their futility pushing an inferior product, drop windows and just be a software company for iOS and OSX!

MARK MY WORDS.

(please, not being serious. It's just fun playing the extremist fanboy)

I think its probably a sign that Microsoft has recognized that Apple and iOS are not the enemy.

No matter how popular the iPhone, Mac, or even the iPad become, none of the Apple products really threaten Microsoft's core business in the way that Android and Google do. Who knows, maybe some people will try out the iPhone version of this game, and decide to get an XBox as a result.

Does Microsoft risk losing some Windows 8 tablet OS sales if they were to release an iPad Office Suite? Absolutely.

But its far better that they keep their iPad-carrying Office customers happy, rather than losing them altogether or, worse, having them migrate to Google Docs.

I agree, this is the same as putting iTunes and Safari on Windows. It's a tactic to try and show people "the other side" and hook them into your own ecosystem.

It's a taste, tease, lure if you will, of what MS can offer to those who have written them off. It's MS saying, "We're not irrelevant, yet".

25gigs! Very nice!!!!!

Had an old hotmail account that I logged into and signed up for the skydrive. Very nice.

Welcome back :)

Hotmail is a great email platform now, and integration with Skydrive and other LiveID products (Zune, Xbox) is awesome and getting better all the time.

All things come to those who stand and wait.

I said onenote for the MacBook (not for iOS). Onenote certainly does not yet exist for OSX and MS has made no comments that its coming.
