microsoft word 2004 language settings

Hi guys,

I'm trying to change the spell check language settings to french on microsoft word 2004 for the mac. The internet seems to say "Tools>languages>french" However, I don't seem to have a language option under my tools tab. Does anyone know whats going on here? Thanks so much.
