Now let’s hope both Microsoft and Google update Docs and Word to handle trackpad support.
I keep wondering if it is Microsoft and Google’s or even Mac’s best interest to offer rich trackpad support and see people flock away from Chromebooks, Windows and Mac’s to use their iPads instead?
With my Magic Keyboard on my 12.9 i don’t see myself hopping onto anything else to type anything anytime soon.

Microsoft has already said that full trackpad support is coming later this year.

This is really strange.
Wonder why it does on yours but not mine ....
Am I missing some special click/swipe/or ...?

Works on mine as well. Grab a document in the Places menu and drag it to the right side of the screen and it opens the document in a split window. You can then open another document that replaces the Places menu.

When I do that it opens the document on top of the Places/Locations panel (on the right side) or the existing document. Kind of like the ruler on a drafting table ... I am unable to get them to come up side by side 😣
It is small on top of full .

When I saw the title, I was like..."Split Screen came a while ago." What you really meant to say was they gained multi-window / document support.

Wow, the technology of 2020 is amazing! Split view!!!! Who would ever need a mac when you can have an iPad as your computer! macOS is officially dead.
