I have Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 (version 14) and currently when I print text it gets printed upside down and backwards on the physical page. The same result happens when printing from TextEdit for Mac (version 1.11), or when "printing" in a digital .PDF format. I use OS X El Capitan (version 10.11.6) and Mac Mini (Late 2014).

Thanks for any tips on how to print text from these applications right side up and frontwards (normal printing format).

well, for a change, microsoft is definitely not the culprit. have a look at and play around with your printer settings, maybe you can set something there. does this happen on every printer or just on one model? if you haven't tried another model, have a look at the webpage of your printer's manufacturer, maybe it's a known problem. it's probably your print driver - try removing it in the printer settings and set it up anew. try a generic driver.

If it's any help I can get that result when printing by, when the print options dialog box pops up, checking "Reverse page orientation" and "Flip horizontally" when the "Layout" popup is selected.
