Microsoft Word Notebook mode

Two questions regarding Notebook mode:

1. Are there alternatives for OSX with comparable features (particularly audio recording)?

2. Is there an existing keyboard shortcut, or can one be created, to insert a Note Flag?

Circus Ponies has Notebook. Perhaps the closest, which has voice annotations.
