Microsoft Word permanent window resizing?

Every time I open a file in Word, the size of the window is so small that I have to resize it. Even after I save the document and quit the application, the next time I open up the document (or any document), the document window is back to the smaller size. Is there a way to have Word remember my window size preference? I use Microsoft Word for Mac version 16.9 (I have an Office 365 subscription). Thanks!

I can only tell you that I've never had that problem. There is something going on outside of the realm of settings in Word.

Try resizing using the bottom right-hand corner to set and save file. Do this for a number of different files in separate windows. Once done close files, close word and restart. Can't promise but hope it works. cheers
