I found the ads really lame and unoriginal personally. Microsoft needs to foster more organisational creativity, because there is nothing special or creative about a lot of random people saying "I'm a PC" imo. :)

Again, you are wrong.

Nope, you're the one who's wrong. Just do a little research.

And there is no point in arguing with you. You've made up your mind that some how Hodgeman represents the user which is totally wrong.

I never said such a thing. You + reading comprehension = FAIL.

You think Justin Long compares to a supermodel? He's an ordinary guy wearing ordinary clothes with a scruffy beard. He is not athletic as your previous post implied, he is not a supermodel, where do you get this stuff?

Sigh. YOU + READING COMPREHENSION = MASSIVE FAIL. You obviously don't know the meaning of the words "EXAMPLE" and "ANALOGY." I guess I should start talking to you as if you were a 5-year old. Maybe then you'll get it.

Again, what does a supermodel advertising Pepsi have to do with anything here. Oh, that's right you think Justin Long is an athletic supermodel.

It's called marketing appeal. If you don't get it you're just hopeless. If you can't see what a fat ass representing your competition's product while a young or cool or hip or trendy person represents yours means, and how it relates to the example I gave, you're just dense. Incredible.

Have you not read my signature, yet? You blindly call me a zealot, which is also wrong. You're ad hominem attacks only further degrade your arguments.

I've backed up every single claim of you being a zealot. Sorry pal, try again. Maybe you'll find the latin words for "I'm a dense zombie who can't understand marketing."

That still doesn't prevent other people from ridiculing the ads, as has been done by people that may not be marketing geniuses, or post on marketing blogs.

People ridicule Mac ads all the time. Thanks for your incredible contribution.

Yes that's the point, but who cares? The ads have brought criticism and justifiably so. The ads aren't original, aren't clever or entertaining, nor have humor to make them memorable.

Your ignorant opinion, you're entitled to it. Fact is, they're being pretty successful at what they set out to do.

Yes, it is. Almost as hilarious as your implication that Justin Long is an athletic supermodel.

Sigh it's like arguing with a 5 year old. Sure little boy, here's your cookie.

microsoft took a subtle approach with the ads.
if it was upto me, i'd make explicit comparisons, present facts and show how blatant lies are used in apples commercials. tit for tat. most of the things they say about pc are bogus, untrue. and the condiscending attitude, that's what a i despise.
