Long story short, I have a Mid-2010 MBP with a damaged logic board, sporting a C2D 2.4Ghz.
I have seen on eBay a Mid-2009 MBP that suffered a fall (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190840304352&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123). According to the engineer report, only the display assembly, top case, and bottom case are damaged, but the unit stays on when top case is disconnected. This leads me to think that the logic board is working.
Having looked up the serial number, the machine has a 2.26 C2D. According to Everymac, the machines are basically identical. Bottom line is: will this logic board fit into my laptop?
