mid 2010 15" macbook pro suddenly restarts

hello, i own a mid 2010 15" macbook pro. Recently it has been shutting off in the middle of me using it and suddenly restarts. here is the error code that came up. what can i do to fix this? or do i need to take it into the apple store

These models are prone to graphics related failures, and for some time Apple had an extended warranty on repairs. That program has now ended, but the computer is likely to get worse. Apple can replace the board, but there's no evidence that the replacement ones are any better.

The genius lied, many replacenment cards have failed, he cannot guarantee that.

You probably have the same problem I have with mine, a dying dGPU (the NVIDIA 330M). This MBP model has been known to have problems just like chrfr said. There were even reports of people getting Logic Board replacements which would then have the same problem.

I never got mine fixed, I always had need of it when the warranty was still available and I could do my work with gfxCardStatus forcing Integrated Graphics only. Ironically, when I could finally go a bit of time without it, the warranty was up :/

So you have two options, you either get it serviced but be advised that the problem may pop up again OR if you really don't need the extra juice from the 330M, you can use gfxCardStatus to force Integrated Graphics only
