Hey there,

I have a Mid 2010 Macbook pro 15-inch 2.53GHz 500GB Hard Drive Intel Core i5 Macbookpro6,2 and I have 4gb in there now and i just purchased a 8gb memory upgrade from kingston. I was wondering if someone could help me out or help me confirm that what I bought works with my macbook. Here is the link.

I still want to keep all my files and it looks as if all my files are in my 500gb hard drive. How can I make sure I don't lose my files when I swap out my memory to 8gb?

Im new here so sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot. Thank you in advance

One last question. I still want to keep all my files and it looks as if all my files are in my 500gb hard drive. How can I make sure I don't lose my files when I swap out my memory to 8gb?
