Mid-2010 MBP Running Parallels

heres my specs I'm running mavericks right now and when i run parallels its already eating at my virtual memory (whole 8GB of ram is used)


2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

8GB Of ram

256 GB of storage with less then 20GB.

Windows 7

not to mention i usually run SQL 2014, our ERP software, Xcode, Skype, Mail, Outlook, etc etc

is it safe? or should i not update.
