Hi all,

Worked great until Friday. Turned it off and on and it would no longer work

I have the Thunderbolt display. The 2011 I7 Mini. The thunderbolt display and two external Thunderbolt HDD Lacie will not work on the mini. The thunderbolt display will work fine on a friends 2012 Mini.

I took my friends Monoprice monitor. I am using a Displayport to Thunderbolt adapter. That works fine on my Mini. I do not understand why one would work and not the other if it works fine on another machine. ugh

Take your Mini to your friend's.

Does -your- Mini work with HIS display?

His display was the Monoprice monitor which is Displayport to Thunderbolt adapter and that works fine on my mini in the Thunderbolt port. My thunderbolt display works fine on his Mini

While Thunderbolt and Displayport share the same port, they aren't the same.
Have you tried to get Thunderbolt to work from the recovery partition?
Have you tried an SMC and NVRAM reset?

Do you see anything reported under the Thunderbolt section of the System Information application? (About this Mac, then System Report.)

I have tried the NVR and the SMC several times as well. I am glad I can use the mini until I get some ideas on what I want to do next such as buy something, etc

ATM I have the Monoprice monitor connected to the mini via Displayport to Thunderbolt adapter.
